Yep, Persona 5's been delayed into 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The revised launch date has been revealed as part of a whole new trailer that isn't readily available as an Internet video just yet – but we'll post a story on it as soon as possible. We hate to say we told you so, but we have been saying this for months now. What's more, Atlus has even given a vague release window, which is actually the summer of next year. In other words, we're going to be waiting a while for this one.

and as a HUGE fan of Persona 3 and especially 4 I gotta say it will be worth the wait Im sure, even if its hard, very very hard to wait until summer 2016, surely even longer for me here in europe
I just hope it doesnt release somewhere close to FF15 next year, because, seriously, those two games will ruin my social life completely
Nooooo! But yea it was kinda obvious. Oh well, that'll give me more time to sink into Fallout 4. Can't complain about that
I don't mind waiting but it would be ironic (or at least Alanis-ironic) if it gets released in the west in the same period of FF15 and the last guardian, after we waited endlessly for these three titles...I wouldn't physically be able to decide what to play first.
@stevie85 i doubt this game will have an international release on the same day as the japanese one, 2017 at least
@Faruko It was said to be coming to the US at the end of this year. So I'm optimistic. Hopefully my optimism isn't misplaced.
I want this, but can wait as there's plenty of time sinks between now and then. #FE will be out next year as well so that'll be my early Atlus fill if it makes the early 16 window (and it drops the hashtag... Don't think I can get a game with a hashtag...)
@get2sammyb Sigh, I was thinking the same thing as well but the fact that they stated 2015 release date on their official site before this had me hoping that it was really gonna be released this year. At least the trailer didn't disappoint and now I want to play the game even more.

Not shocking but disappointing. PS4 really needed this game, especially in Japan.

LOL, that's how I felt about Driver 3 when it became Driv3r. I mean really? That game ended up being mediocre so it was no loss in skipping it. #FE can go either way. It seems a little 'too Japanese,' for me, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful, just can't think of a better descriptor. There's just some stuff, like with the Persona games (including 5) as well, that kind of put me off. But it'll definitely find an audience and hopefully be high quality.
@Feena please no - its my worst case scenario for next year - if P5 comes out close to FF15 Im about to lose my job, partnership and all of my friends LOL could also not decide on what to play first, allthough I admit Im a tad more towards FF (been waiting for it since the first screenshot was released ... well... 10 years ago LOL, Im a total FF maniac ^^)
