And breathe again. Push Square Towers has been a hive of activity this week, with TGS 2015 in full swing. But while we've been enjoying bringing you all of the big news from Tokyo, we are looking forward to a breather this weekend – and a video game or two. As has become a tradition in these parts, here's what we're playing right now.

I'm playing a game called Mop Up the Remaining News from TGS 2015. It's not the most riveting release – mechanics include browsing the web, stringing together sentences, and cropping pictures – but I tend to enjoy it all the same.

Destiny's got me snagged. No escape - I even think about it when I'm not playing it. I've got loot fever really bad, and the only cure is to get together with the Push Square community and kick some arse this weekend.

I can remember a time when I used to play more than one game a week. I wandered through a buffet of gaming delights, sampling whatever took my fancy. This weekend is going to be the same as the last two: I'll be playing Destiny – more goddamned Destiny.

While I've still not had the opportunity to even put half as much time into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as I want, the fact that I'm currently in the process of working on the review for NHL 16 means I might have to continue waiting. And this is in addition to the fact that I haven't even touched my copy of Tearaway: Unfolded, another game the likes of which I desperately hope I can make time for!

The recent Tokyo Game Show name change of Project Morpheus to PlayStation VR led me to thinking if the confines of a ring or a fighting arena in a boxing game would be a good fit for a virtual reality game. To make sense of this I thought I'll read about Teleroboxer on the Virtual Boy, and dust off two PlayStation Move wands for a rumble in ColdWood Interactive's The Fight: Lights Out.

With GameStop having a decent trade-in offer for once with Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition, I couldn't resist getting it for only $40 by giving up my vanilla Destiny copy. While levelling up seems too fast now and the Year One weapons being trash is discouraging, I'm really enjoying the majority of the changes that have come with The Taken King. Hey, the first half of its story has more of a narrative than the entirety of the original campaign. It's a start, Bungie!

I'll be mostly found wandering the wastelands as Max Rockatansky this weekend, yelling, "The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel – it'd take you ten minutes to hack through it!" Plus, I will be trying out QuipLash with an excitable group of young people, too.

This week I'll be playing Mad Max, finishing it off and fully upgrading the Magnum Opus so I can finally move on to another game. After that I'll be starting Yu-Gi-Oh: Legacy of the Duelist, if I find some time to d-d-d-d-duel.

This weekend is going to be a sleepless one with the release of the new Raid in Destiny; I'll be rounding up my fireteam to attempt this arduous feat. Rise Guardians!
