Resident Evil 2 PS4 PlayStation 4 1

We're truly living in a golden age where all of the best PSone titles are coming back from the dead. Hot on the heels of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Capcom has now announced that Resident Evil 2 will rise again. There are no formats officially confirmed at the time of typing, but you should anticipate a PlayStation 4 release.

Hideki Kamiya's classic survival horror sequel is regarded by many as the best entry in the franchise, as it drags protagonists Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy out onto the streets of Raccoon City. The game has only just been approved for production so it's too early for screenshots yet, but it's being helmed by Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, who fronted this year's Resident Evil HD Remake.

That game was, of course, based upon the GameCube version, so it's going to be interesting to see how it approaches this one. In an infectiously exciting video for fans, however, Hirabayashi insists that the organisation is "looking forward to delivering this highly anticipated experience". It's a wonderful time to be alive, readers.
