Street Fighter V PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Spanish ninja Vega will be joining the roster of PlayStation 4 console exclusive Street Fighter V at launch, Capcom has announced. The masked matador – who's been a series mainstay since his debut in Street Fighter II – will come with his illustrious locks and distinctive claws, though he'll also be packing plenty of new tricks up his "frilly sleeves".

The biggest change this time is that he'll have the ability to sheathe his razors Wolverine-style, unlocking access to fresh abilities. This means that he'll be able to take advantage of two unique stances, and knowing when to toggle is pivotal to success. Furthermore, should you drop your claws, they'll be lost for the remainder of the fight, so you'll need to be careful with them.

As with all of the other characters in Capcom's upcoming sequel, Vega will have access to a variety of specific variable techniques. The flamboyant fighter's V-Skill will allow him to quickly evade enemy attacks, while his V-Trigger will see him tossing a rose at his opponent before unleashing a combo from behind. He looks incredibly technical, but great fun.

And we'll get to see more of the flamenco dancer in action during Gamescom 2015 this week, as the character will be playable at Sony's booth. Are you overjoyed by this addition? Tame a bull in the comments section below.
