Shenmue III PlayStation 4 PS4

Shenmue III has about week left to make as much money as possible, which means that the pressure's now on for the Kickstarter campaign. We already know that the game is going to get made, but Yu Suzuki has stressed that the more money that gets contributed, the more elaborate the final product will be. At the time of typing the funding drive has raised $4.6 million, but let's cross our fingers for at least $6 million.

In order to raise that additional money, Ys Net has rolled out a handful of new rewards. If you up your pledge to $600, you'll be able to leave a 140 character personal message in the in-game guestbook of the Choubu Inn, which everyone who purchases the game will be able to read. This also comes with all prior rewards, meaning that you'll get your physical copy of the game for the PlayStation 4, in addition to various other goods.

There are even better new tiers beyond this, though, which will see you drawn as a toy capsule and added to the game. The $700 reward will see your face plastered on an in-game dice, while upping your pledge to $1,200 will see Kenji Miyawaki draw you as a chibi figure and plop you in the release. Finally, if you're feeling really flush, pledging $1,800 will see you drawn as a toy and partnered with one of several famous faces from the series, including Ren, Lan-Di, and Chai.

The next stretch goal is the big one for Shenmue III, as it will ensure that the Character Perspective system makes the cut – a feature that Suzuki has been eager to implement since the start. Are you currently considering a bank heist in order to ensure that you're transformed into a chibi toy? Change your mind in the comments section below.
