It looks as though talented Japanese outfit Vanillaware is gearing up to announce a new project in the next few days, if this teaser website is anything to go by. Whatever the game is, it'll be revealed live in Boston on the 20th July.
There's already some speculation that it may be a high definition re-release of the rather stunning PlayStation 2 role-playing game Odin Sphere, but with more info coming in the very near future, we wouldn't want to get anyone's hopes up. Heck, we'd take a Dragon's Crown PlayStation 4 port and be happy.
Regardless of what it turns out to be, Atlus will be on publishing duty, and we have no doubt that it'll look absolutely gorgeous. Are you hyped? Prepare your eyeballs in the comments section below.

OMG, this is great news! Love both Odin's Sphere and Dragon's Crown. I always have a soft spot for hand drawn stuff and George Kamitani's art style's just amazing. Hope he's involved in this new project.
If its not a new IP, I wouldn't mind a Muramasa Rebirth or Grand Knights History PS4 port.
@WanderingBullet At this point I think Vanillaware could make just about anything and I'd be excited. Muramasa and Dragon's Crown are both brilliant games in my book.
@WanderingBullet From what I understand, there's not really much info - the big deal here is purely the mentions of 'HD'. The one thing people seem to be worried about is that it could be a mobile game, as the little seed on the site says "touch me!" every now and then.
Gotta keep that hype in check!
@ShogunRok I copied some of the text and did a google translation and I got "New full HD project" so it could actually be a new IP.
@Neolit
Rubenesque??? Big ol' titties you mean??
Both Muramasa and Dragon's Crown are beautiful games that are such a joy to play as well. I really hope it won't be a HD port, but a completely new title.
This article made me reflect on some of my favorite vita games btw and boy are we spoiled as Vita owners! People that claim videogames aren't art, or at least can't be, haven't played a Vanillaware title.
It will probably be Dragon's Crown seeing it released not long before the PS4 came out, but I would be happy with that as Dragon's Crown is an excellent RPG.
Oh man , I'd love for it to be a Vamillaware HD Collection, Odin Sphere, Muramasa and Dragon's Crown Remastered for PS4...

@ShogunRok I hope not. Anyways, its too late now. My hype train has left the station. lol
A Vanillaware collection of Odin Sphere, GrimGrimoire, Muramasa and Dragon's Crown? Ehh excuse me, I seem to be salivating from my mouth.
@Boerewors Speaking of art - I need an Okami sequel. lol
@WanderingBullet An Okami sequel would make my day!
@WanderingBullet
That HD remake was gorgeous! That art style never gets old. I was just thinking bout Oreshika and Dragon's Crown and how much I enjoy these beautiful games on my Vita. I really hope PSnow will soon take off and Sony will not half ass it (or whole ass for that matters) but will invest heavily in it. There are so many PS3 games that aren't available on our PS4 and Vita that PSnow could easily make happen. Those games will look beautiful on the Vita! And I'm not talking bout FPSs or fighters which will give huge latency problems for the next decade to come, but titles like Okami HD, SotC, ICO, Puppeteer and maybe even Demon Souls, The Uncharteds, TLOU and many many more...how awesome would it be to have a catalog of hundreds of games available on the Vitas beautiful oled screen which makes everything look better?
Nice. I really enjoyed Muramasa Rebirth, but I've yet to start Dragon's Crown. It's been sitting on my Vita pretty much since day 1, but I've just not gotten round to it yet!
Hopefully a Muramasa or Dragon's Crown sequel for PS4.
Whatever it is, it'll be awesomesauce
@WanderingBullet Grand Knights would be a localization. Still, very welcome. Anyone remember Princess Crown? Was that a Vanilla game, or just same art style?
Announcements of Announcements HYPE!!!!
I really love the artstyle of Vanillaware, so looking forward to the 20th.
Never know! Could be a new Ninjabread Man game.
Looks like its Odin's Sphere HD for the PS4, PS3 and VITA. Unless I'm wrong looks like they added new boss fights along with a new HUD as well.
@TomKnows Yeah, meant to say that but it's technically a port for Japan.
OMG, pre-orders in Japan will get an Odin's Sphere Artbook.
Here's what someone posted on Siliconera.com:
"For the people not watching the stream
>New Enemies
>New maps
>Alchemy system will be redone
>You don't have to replay stages
>You can teleport between areas
>Fighting system has been readjusted and looks more like Muramasa style fighting can put some CUHRAYZEE combos
>OST will include rearrangements but also new songs from the FFT composer
>Faster response when crunching and moving
>new animations when using items
and more..."
