Bringing down giant monsters was always a treat in Dragon's Dogma on the PlayStation 3. The thud of their gargantuan bodies hitting the ground, accompanied by that oh-so-sweet musical melody made for special moments in an already special game, and it looks as though Dragon's Dogma Online features those very same moments.
Fortunately, Twitter users @SJHillll and @Arjan127 were kind enough to throw some footage of the game's current Japanese beta our way, captured directly from one of their PlayStation 4s. In it, they team up to take down a marauding cyclops, although this is only a four-minute snippet of the battle. We're told that the full clash lasted over an hour, and if that's not epic, then we don't know what is.
Take a look for yourselves, and then tell us how desperate you are for the title to be localised in the comments section below.

Damn this game looks awesome!
Omg!! Now I even want it more. Fighting giants like these is always so wonderful: the moment he fell on his butt to shake off on of his attackers I actually felt sorry for him, like in Shadow of the Colossus in a way. This game has to come west!
Dragon's Dogma was one of my favorite games last gen. I would really like to be able to give this a shot...
Hopefully it gets released over here, DD on the PS3 was an excellent game.
It looks great! even if the troll looks a bit too much HP sponge.
An hour???... They should have got a few more levels first, they were hardly doing any damage no wonder it took an hour!!!
In terms of online co-op RPG this, The Division and Black Desert are what I'm most looking forward to. Hope Dragon's Dogma Online lets you play multiple classes similar to FFXIV.
I liked Dragon's Dogma on PS3, but at the time, the difficulty really put me off and I really didn't want to invest the time grinding levels to try and plow through the game. Where this game is essentially an MMO version of Dragon's Dogma, I might be more inclined to play it, as I can try befriending people to help me out on quests. I hope to hear some news soon about it coming to North America in the near future.
@WanderingBullet I can confirm that you can indeed play multiple classes
@Arjan127 Cool, thx.
@JesWood13 You shouldn't really have had to grind. It's a skill-based game, not a numbers game like Disgaea. It's like saying you have to grind in Dark Souls.
But that aside, you could have hired a friend's Pawn (they're free from friends) that was a higher level than you if you wanted to make things a lot easier, even to the point of trivialising them if the Pawn was too high a level. Given that DDO is more of an MMO, this actually WILL be grindy regardless of player skill.
