Like a boss

Gaming's most groomed executive Toshihiro Nagoshi will be smiling today, as Yakuza Zero – the latest entry in his soap opera-like series – has surpassed 500,000 units in Japan. The game's only three months old so this is a particularly impressive feat; perhaps it's time we reminded everyone that we'd love a Western release. Please.

Even more impressive is that global sales of the series have now reached 7.5 million units, with Yakuza 5 still set to release on the PlayStation 3 (!!!) sometime this year. This December will mark the franchise's 10th anniversary, so expect another entry that has little chance of being localised to be announced around then.
