Pred Fea 1

Uh oh, it's time to find out whether you lot were spot on or dead wrong with regards to this year's E3. The biggest event in gaming has just about come and gone, and before the Los Angeles event started, we asked you to vote on 20 yes or no questions. In other words, it was up to you, the Push Square community, to predict what would happen at E3 2015. Without further ado, let's see how you did, question by question.

Will Uncharted 4: A Thief's End get a confirmed released date at E3?

Untitled

Off to a good start, eh? A whopping 74 per cent of you said that yes, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End would get a set 2016 release date. Sadly, there was no date to be found at the end of the upcoming adventure's superb gameplay demo, which was shown at Sony's conference.

Will Sony spend half an hour or more covering Project Morpheus?

Untitled

Wrong again, we're afraid - although we're quite happy that this one didn't come true. 68 per cent of you said that Sony would spend 30 minutes of more on its virtual reality tech - and we can't blame you. We too thought that the company would bang on about Project Morpheus for a huge chunk of the show, when in reality, Sony spent about five minutes on it.

Will Project Morpheus get a live demo at Sony's press conference?

Untitled

Hey, three out of three, you're not doing too bad, are you? But yes, wrong again when it came to Morpheus, as Sony didn't demo anything live on stage - much to the relief of editor Sammy Barker. Instead, we got a rather brief montage. 87 per cent of you misfired on this one.

Will Sony spend five or more minutes talking about the PS Vita?

Untitled

The cynics win this round. Indeed, Sony barely spent a single minute talking about the Vita, never mind five. Much to the dismay of handheld enthusiasts, it would seem that the Japanese company is well and truly over its portable device, even if the show did throw up some third-part support here and there. It was close, but 57 per cent of you said no.

Will we see Media Molecule's latest unannounced project at E3?

Untitled

We weren't too sure about this one, but you lot got it totally right. Media Molecule did indeed show off its current project, which turned out to be a really weird game called Dreams. A good 67 per cent of you said that it would appear.

Will Sony's press conference include five or more fully exclusive PlayStation titles?

Untitled

Sony did indeed include five or more fully exclusive PlayStation titles at its press conference, with the likes of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, The Last Guardian, and Horizon: Zero Dawn being well worth a mention. This one was close, though, as only 57 per cent of you got it right.

Will Sony's press conference include 10 or more third-party retail titles?

Untitled

A massive 85 per cent of you got this one spot on. Sony included, to our knowledge, exactly ten third-party retail games in its press conference, including Star Wars: Battlefront, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and Street Fighter V. Looking back, it was a pretty packed presser wasn't it?

Will we see Guerrilla Games' unannounced project at E3?

Untitled

We certainly did, and Horizon: Zero Dawn was its name. We dare say that Guerrilla Games' brilliant looking title would have stolen the show, if not for the various other megatons Sony dropped at its presser. Another huge victory for you lot, as 86 per cent of you voted yes.

Will Persona 5 show up at Sony's E3 press conference?

Untitled

Damn, and you were on such a good winning streak, too. Disappointingly, Persona 5 didn't show up at Sony's press conference. Only 35 per cent of you got this one right.

Will No Man's Sky get a set 2015 release date?

Untitled

While No Man's Sky did put in a decent appearance at Sony's show, the game still doesn't have a set release date, although the developer did promise that it'd have news of one soon. 55 per cent of you were just that tiny bit too optimistic.

Will Fallout 4 get a 2015 release date?

Untitled

Boy was that a close one. 56 per cent of you ensured the community's victory for this one, as Bethesda dropped a megaton at the end of its presser. Yes, Fallout 4 is coming later this year.

Will Ubisoft's press conference feature at least one cringe inducing moment?

Untitled

89 per cent of you said yes, and 89 per cent of you were absolutely spot on. Probably the easiest question in the quiz, of course Ubisoft's press conference included at least one cringe worthy moment. In fact, there were loads, and we really don't want to cast our minds back to them by detailing them here.

Will EA invite three or more sports personalities on stage during its press conference?

Untitled

This was a tricky one that could have gone either way, but sadly, you got it wrong. Only one sports personality graced EA's presser this year, and that was legendary footballer Pele. And, while he arguably took up more than enough time for two more celebrity guests, only 34 per cent of you got this right.

Will the Final Fantasy VII port for PS4 get a release date at E3?

Untitled

Nope, the Final Fantasy VII PS4 port didn't get a set date, but it did get a winter 2015 release window at Square Enix's conference. 47 per cent of you got this right, but let's be honest - who cares when we know that there's a full remake in the works? It's no wonder that Sony didn't bother mentioning it.

Will the next Mass Effect game be shown in any capacity at E3?

Untitled

Mass Effect: Andromeda's its name, and yes, it was at EA's show. In fact, a CG trailer for the sci-fi title kicked the publisher's presser off with a bang, but we unfortunately didn't see much else. 73 per cent of you got this right.

Will Hideo Kojima appear on stage during any of the E3 press conferences?

Untitled

The Metal Gear Solid visionary was nowhere to be seen on any of the featured stages, so your doubt has served you well this time around. 74 per cent of you said that it wouldn't happen, and you were right.

Will Star Wars: Battlefront show up at more than one E3 press conference?

Untitled

With Star Wars destined to be a massive hit later this year, it only made sense for Star Wars: Battlefront to show up at more than one conference. The shooter got meaty gameplay demonstrations at both EA and Sony's pressers. A hefty 88 per cent of you hit this one dead on.

Will Mark Cerny put in an appearance at Sony's press conference?

Untitled

The infectiously enthusiastic Sony development lead sadly didn't show up at E3, much to the disappointment of those who were desperate for a Knack 2 megaton announcement. That's 66 per cent of you, by the way.

Will The Last Guardian appear in any capacity, barring a mere mention, during Sony's press conference?

Untitled

Your faith was well placed, Push Square community. 61 per cent of you trusted your hearts and said yes, The Last Guardian will rise from its grave at E3, and you were right. This was perhaps the riskiest question in the entire quiz, so you'll get a pat on the back from us.

Will Sony start its press conference late?

Untitled

We didn't see this one coming, and neither did you, apparently. So sure that Sony would, as tradition demands, start its press conference fashionably late, a massive 84 per cent of you said yes. But no - Sony stabbed us all in the back and got things under way pretty much bang on time. What a twist.

Final Score

Let's be honest, this E3 turned out to be a pretty tough one to predict, so we reckon that you lot actually did quite well to get eleven questions right. It's perhaps a bit of a shame that you came so close to getting a couple more correct, but you've still managed to score over 50 per cent. Good show, everyone.
