Fallout 4's Gameplay Reveal Goes Nuclear on PS4

I cannot wait to get my hands on Fallout 4. Fingers crossed we won't have long to wait.

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life. Any word on a release date, or have they not said anything?

With it putting Xbox One infront of PS4 in the below text at the end of the video my guessing is it's probably giving Xbox it's timed support for exclusives.

Also, they're were some awesome looking visuals, but it looked a little last-gen at parts too... Oh well, as long as it plays good, right?

I think you're overthinking it. I'd bet money they do concurrent releases.

Does anyone know where it takes place? I thought that looked like Boston, but I wasn't sure.

@RawWilson1 I hope not but honestly playing this on pc is where its at(not a pc elitist), the mod support is amazing for Bethesda games. And fallout in general. Sooo hyped. Im may skip this on ps4.

I've never engaged with the Fallout series and I remain relatively un-stirred by this unfortunately. Possibly because of the same incredibly flat, drab looking textures and diabolical sprite animation.
I'm sure a lot of people will love this game but for me it's about time Bethesda put some effort into how their games look and feel....a sense of realism adds so much more to the immersion.

They may have ditched the previous gen for Fallout 4, but that engine hasn't changed much. The sooner developers stop sprucing up creaking Dx9 based engines, the better.

Considering they've been relatively quiet since Skyrim, and don't look to have built a new engine either, it means they must've had plenty of time to work on the games mechanics. Should be interesting in that regard.

Its set in Massachusetts - or at least the fictional universe's version of Massachusetts that’s been referenced in prior games - known as the Commonwealth.

I wasn't overly impressed by the trailer and certainly think the 'dog' looks last gen but some parts looked ok - certainly seems more colourful than Fallout 3 did.

Hopefully though the game play reveal (expected) at E3 will be more inspiring...

will mod the **** out of this game when it comes out !

It was the capitol building that I thought I recognized. Awesome. I'm so excited. Hopefully the story will involve some Commonwealth vs Enclave combat.

My goodness, this may be my first Fallout game.

Its got a lot to live up to after Witcher 3. As for the visuals, i hope they dont get downgraded from the early videos that will come out, like what happened to the console versions of the Witcher 3. Having said all that, i cant wait. Although Fallout 3 had it faults, it was one of my favourite games.

Since COD can no longer fufil it due to the future setting, the show lies with Fallout 4.

What I like best: more color!

I can't wait to play it! " Fallout 3" was way better than "New Vegas" especially waaaay less buggy than New Vegas which was a total mess. I still liked New Vegas but not nearly as much as far as the storyline compared to "Fallout 3". Hopefully "Fallout 4" won't have the same buggy issues that "New Vegas" had. But it does look like they captured the better atmospheric feel like they did before in "Fallout" 3.
I can't wait to preoder it and play!

I don't understand the complaints about the graphics. I was pretty impressed with what I saw in this video. Also, long shot, but I hope this game gets a 2015 release date! If not, I hope it's very early 2016 at the latest. I've been waiting for this game, like many others, for YEARS!!!

I played about 100 hours of fallout 3 but this hasn't done much to tempt me back to the franchise. Ah well.

Yeah, fallout three was decent, new Vegas was aweful imo. Never been that big of a fallout guy. I will get this day one but I'd much rather have tES 6

Looks okay. Nothing more, nothing less. Trailer has left me wanting the game much less than I did before I saw it. Just felt cold, typical and (dare I say it) bland.

@Crimson_Ridley Nothing wrong with the graphics, it's the animation. Every time anything moves it looks so wooden. The dog especially. It's like someone has just put flashier graphics on an early PS2 games animation at times. Hope that gets sorted.

i also dont see how people can complain about the graphics, i think if the game releases and it looks like that then i am a happy post apocalyptic camper. man i cannot wait for this. i dont even know how many years ive been typing FALLOUT4 into google hoping to get some tiny miniscule piece of evidence that it is coming. but here it is!!! like a dream come true lol

I'll wait for ps4 gameplay before judging any. It'll be day one regardless for me.

@Crimson_Ridley: Actually after watching the vid of it a couple times I think the animation was smooth, even on the dog, visually the graphics are good (no complaints here) but definitely not "next gen graphics". Like someone else said this could have originally been a "last gen game" that was swapped over to "current gen".
Which if true we could all be lucky and get the game sooner than we think!

I played fallout 3 on the ps3 and had no idea what to expect when I started. The game didnt look particularly good, the animations were stiff, the loading times horrible, the game freezed every other moment and got worse as my save file got larger, and it could very well be the most awesome game Ive ever played..

Simply because of this bizarre world they created with crazy creatures, ridiculous weapons, and most of all awesome quests where you never knew what to expect. This game was so hilarious and had so many surprises. And people here are talking about graphics....please go play the order 1886 or something.. Ill be waiting for this

Never played a Fallout game but my brother has been telling me about it for what seems like FOREVER. I promised him I'd buy this game, though I admit it does look interesting, even if a little... stiff, as @sinalefa put it.

I've always preferred the Elder Scrolls games over the Fallout series but I still enjoy them. Looking forward to this.

OH MY GOD YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been watching the trailer since the announcement yesterday, (seen like 10+ times already) sooooooooooooooo hyped, looks awesome from what we've seen this far

@JaxonH - Ive never played one either, "western RPG" hss always been an oxymoron to me, but this looks intersting after playing TLoU last month.

And I can see why people are complaining about the graphics, its what TLoU would have looked liked had it been a multiplat and not made by Naughty Dog. Almost everything on PS3 looked bad to me after Uncharted 2 until I played TLoU. (God of War 3 doesnt count, fixed camera.)

And considering how long its been since Fallout 3 Id bet this started as a PS3 Xbox360 game. I was expecting it to include those 2 at the end.
