If all goes to plan, June's big PlayStation Plus update should be announced at some point next week. Indeed, the content will likely roll out on 2nd June in North America and 3rd June in Europe, so we'd expect Sony to outline the offering on this coming Wednesday or Thursday – although it has left things until the last minute in the past.
Either way, this should give you a few days to plan out your dream lineup. May's offering – which included the likes of Guacamelee, Ether One, and The Unfinished Swan – was packed with tantalising products, but was perhaps a little too indie heavy to suit all tastes. Could we see the addition of the odd AAA title this time?
In terms of new releases, The Escapists is due out right around the same time as the PlayStation Plus update, so could be a potential candidate – but that's speculation on our part. Sony's keeping its cards close to its chest with regards to potential inclusions, so it looks like you're going to have to guess. The big question is: what would get you excited?
Are you hankering for more critically acclaimed digital games this time, or do you demand a retail release – irrespective of its relative quality? Plan out your perfect June PlayStation Plus update in the comments section below.

Hopefully a AAA title, maybe Killzone, but the escapists would be awesome too.
How long will it be before someone says "less Indies"?
My wishes:
PS4 - Knack, Child of Light or Killzone Shadow Fall
PS3 - Last of Us, AC IV or Wolfestein New Order
Vita - Dustforce, La-Mulana Ex or Severed
I find difficult some of this on plus, but who knows, maybe...
Axiom Verge, that's about the only game I'd like to see on there for PS4.
I've said this before, but something like Binary Domain or Lollipop Chainsaw would be good. A decent game that didn't sell loads but deserves attention. Ideally I'd like to see something that isn't too childish like Hohokum. That was garbage.
@Johnnycide Binary Domain was a plus game in Feb 13 dude sorry - totally agree with the type of game you wish for though, the kind you dont want to spend £ on but looks decent enough to play. Lollipop Chainsaw or Shadow Of The Damned would be sweet
I would like the wolf among us and borderlands 2 for vita.
I personally wouldn't mind a AAA game on PS4 that I don't have and want to play - even one that I felt indifferent or undecided over and therefore unlikely to buy. What I don't want is yet another 'indie' or 2D platformer - however well its done or looks....
The Witcher 3
Mortal Kombat X
Gran Turismo 6
South Park
Persona 4
Hell divers (cross buy)
I would like to see DriveClub PS+ Edition which has been promised actually delivered.
For the PS4 it would be good to see Knack.
For the PS3 Dark Souls 1
For the Vita the Batman game - I cannot believe the price they are still asking for it.
Not a puzzle game.
Good call, Wesker. Also, Uncharted 4.
@daveyboyps101 shadows of the damned is a good shout actually.
This is aside from the subject of course, but I think the best thing Sony could do is to offer a choice of games. As in you get two on each platform from a selection.
That or put it up to vote, but I can see that being a problem as it may cause embarrassment for some devs (as in, imagine if a vote between strider and Road Not Taken happened. Ouch.).
@Johnnycide interesting idea but I highly doubt that to be possible as Sony's PS Plus service giving out a game away for free to its customers involves striking a deal, via lengthy discussions I presume, with the publisher in question and getting everything ready well ahead of the actual announcement. Further I'm usually happy with the selections even if there are things I wouldnt normally think to play - expands my gaming horizons
Persons 4 vita
Knack PS4
As @Johnnyside mentions Axiom verge would be a good shout.
But my biggest wish would be SF4 direct to Ps plus.
Would love the escapists as gonna pick it up anyway wouldn't mind it free! Would love knack as ain't played it yet
I will go with alot of people here and say Knack but I also wouldn't mind
PS4
Rayman
AC IV
Sleeping Dogs
Tomb Raider
Child of Light
@Tasuki
Yes. Spot on with what games should be chosen from. They really need to offer just one of the games from that list (Knack included). I would probably hold off on Knack and Killzone until E3, but of course they probably won't do that.
I would like White Night on PS4
I can't believe how many people actually want Knack. Look at it is way - you clearly don't own the game, but will play it if you don't have to fork out for it. But it's still a game you did not think was worth spending your hard earned cash on when it was released, probably because it was (rightfully) critically panned. If you REALLY wanted to play it, it's around a tenner in most second hand stores. Yet I'm guessing you haven't bought it because you don't even think it's worth that.
Maybe you should consider asking for something that might actually be good? Just putting it out there.
Isn't it a little early to be guessing for Jun, it's only May 23? And w/ Monday being a holiday in the US who knows when Sony will get around to it.
@RawShark could not agree more. Picked this up on launch for a co-op game with the lady and understand why is was panned. The Last Tinker was a better 3D Platformer for a fraction of the price. Although I already own it, the Resident Evil HD version would be a nice monthly addition.
I Wouldn't mind something like Ac black flag, A lego game or wolfenstein, any decent AAA game really (PS4) but doubt that will happen, also borderlands for vita would be awesome
for ps3 resident evil revelations, for vita Dagganrompa, for PS4 Dead or Alive 5 Lat Round
Grim Fandango Remastered.
as a first AAA title, I'd like to see Knack, possibly Killzone, Driveclub (though that's highly unlikely) or maybe something else 3rd party from the launch period. It's been long enough...
anyway, maybe they'll hold out for that till july or later this year, so they can make a big fuss about it at E3 or something.
DmC and Axiom Verge
PS3
InFamous
Uncharted 2
Child of Light
@drumsandperc92 PS Plus driveclub will be out in the 3months.
@RawShark I only buy new games to support the industry and Knack was £20 I think - There wasn't a ps4 game In game or any of the independents for less than £15. The good thing about that is the trade in value of games holds and you have a compact area of games between £20-£35 which means you don't pay much to get a new game.
Also Knack is different to any other game, killzone, infamous, knack and resogun were the marque launch games so most of us here want to play them at some point and to be honest If its not on psplus before chrimbo I will buy it anyway.
@RawShark Completely agree. Even if Knack were truly free I'd still want change. Dreadful game.
As for PS+ I dunno to be honest. Last month besides playing Diablo I've not played a single game. And since I finished that three weeks ago I've not even touched the PS4, 3 or Vita. There's absolutely nothing coming - bar Arkham - that excites me and nothing I have that interests me enough to play it. For example, rare night to myself and did I play Bloodborne? Nope, I watched Eurovision. Nothing is anything better than meh at the moment and gaming is becoming exceptionally boring because of the way this industry is being run. What was once a fun hobby is now a chore. Something exciting would be nice, especially as I think PS+ will be delayed until after E3.
Not indie games made in unity is all I ask.
The Last of Us Remastered & any MLB game😆
To misquote a famous phrase,"When a man gets tired of Bloodborne he gets tired of life."
As far as Knack it is what PS+ is about in a way - giving you a chance to play games that piques your interest but you cannot afford to buy or have other games that you will buy ahead of it.
For instance, in the second half of the year, I intend to buy Persona 5 and MGS5 and that will probably have my meagre budget for buying games tapped out. There are other games that I would like to play but will have to pass on through lack of funds.
I would have been one of those asking for an AAA title and less indie stuff but I have to admit that Ether One and Unfinished Swan were unexpected gems this month. Especially Ether One which I've been playing during my (limited) spare time since I tried it on Friday afternoon. It's a tricky game to work out but reminds me of the text adventure games of the 8 bit era as it requires quite a bit of thought to get anywhere. It's actually the first ps4 game that's really drawn me in to the story.
If June's lineup contained any games up to the quality of those included this month I'll be happy.
I hope for a JRPG for the Vita the upcoming month, cause this month is just terrible for Vita owners, nothing noteworthy.
I hope Knack makes its way to ps+ as I've played it and thought it was awesome.
Remember, for every person trashing it online, there's another who enjoy it but is not as vocal about it. I hope people who are sceptical about it can get the chance to try it out and judge on their own.
I'd add that Wolfenstein would be an excellent PS4 choice. I've got it, and it's one of my favourite games for the system, but everyone should get a chance to play it. It's superb.
Knack is a truly awful game i wouldnt want that again at all.
+1 from me for the Knack lovers.
For me I'd like to see Lego Marvel Superheroes, Aug Blackfly and perhaps Fifa 15 seeing as though there's only a few months until 16 comes out.
@cornish1973 FIFA would never happen. It's too big a property and sports games aren't exactly popular judging from the ps blog.
I can't wait for the comments when(if) Sony put a triple A game on ps+(ps4)..how many people will be complaining about the size of the download, the fact that their Internet is gonna take hours to download it and that they don't have room on their hard drive..not easy being Sony sometimes...
Even though I own it digital, I'd love knack to be this month's ps4. I loved that game, am on my 6th playthrough now, and even bought a copy for my cousin and little brother. I've yet to run across someone who actually played it say it wasn't enjoyable. Story was very average, but it was fun.
@BigDaddyT0101
6th playthrough?? You do realize the PS4 isn't like the 'game and watch' or anything: you can actually play multiple games on it!
I played the game with my kids and they loved the heck out of it....but 6 playthroughs...wow, just wow.
I heard they let Iraqi prisoners play this game in Guantanamo to get precious intel out of them; not a single one survived...
@Boerewors I'm just saying, when I'm not in the mood to put any thought or effort into something, but feel like messing around, knack gets loaded up. I can honestly say I never watched a single cutscene I could skip, I just found the combat/levels simple and enjoyable. I've got a 1tb HD full already of titles, a solid 3/4 of which got less playtime than knack.
And I don't care what we will get..because of The Witcher :] .. what a game!
@BigDaddyT0101
I was just kidding ofcourse and I understand the appeal to a certain extent, but I can't imagine any other gen where we would still be talking bout a title like Knack 1.5 year into the generation.
If you like Knack btw, I can recommend Lego Marvel (or Batman of your into DC); good old fashioned fun, simple mechanics, great for the kids with local co-op and it just keeps you coming back for more.
@Boerewors Maybe we have to talk about Knack this generation because the number of retail AAA games, let alone exclusives, has been distressingly thin.
Axiom Verge (ps4)
Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number (Ps4 +Cross Play) (one & Two if possible, But definetly Two!)
Twisted Metal (ps3)
Alice Madness Returns Ultimate Edition (ps3)
Shovel Knight (Vita+cross Play)
Titan Souls (Vita+ Cross Play)
Those are my personal picks
The one i want the most is Hotline Miami 2!!
Or at least at a highly discounted price on the next Flash Sale!
i Bought the first Hotline Miami For 3$
@Heavyman99
That's what I meant to say with "but I can't imagine any other gen where we would still be talking bout a title like Knack 1.5 year into the generation."
If people actually want Knack on Plus and feel like playing it, you know there's not much else to be excited about. I really hope Sony has some tricks up its sleeves this e3, cause with what we know now it seams like we'll have an extremely poor 2015 line-up...2015: the year where they would finally show us what this gen is all about :S
On PS4, I'd like to see one AAA added to PS+ for June... (from these):
And one indie title...
The same goes for Vita too. With a decent AAA...
And again, an indie...
@rjejr Nope. Not too early at all, being that the first of the month is next week. Memorial Day has no bearing on this, since the release would be next Wednesday, the first Wednesday of the month.
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved (PS4, PS3)
Watch_Dogs (PS4)
Tales of Graces F (PS3)
Persona Arena Ultimax (PS3)
MLB: The Show 15 (Vita)
Freedom Wars (Vita)
Knack please Sony!
@Wesker Mortal Kombat X ? lol... This is exactly the type of game people expect, and it's also why you stay disappointed...
@PSIN4MANT I have to admit, I don't really expect those games. The question was asked what would get you excited, so I answered it.
Either the the remastered Last of Us, Tomb Raider or GTAV since I bought all of those on the PS3 and don't want to double dip.
@rastamadeus Witcher III: Wild Hunt?
I really enjoyed Knack. I feel that a lot of reviewers played Knack and compared it to Battlefield 4 (I know, bonkers right.) In fact, IGN's review of Knack is one of the worst things I've ever read. It just completely missed the point of it. Knack is a fun game. Simple as that. And it would be a great addition to PS+. So many people think that it's garbage without having played it. It's sad really.
PS4 - either Knack or maybe black flag?
PS3 - Not really bothered with it for a while having gotten the big 3 next gens( well ps4 and X1..plus wii u)
Vita - Tearaway or persona 4( wanna try persona but never done the Japanese game thing)
@DVS Massively delayed response I've not played The Witcher III. Got it on day one, watched the missus playing it and not touched it myself. It's literally like I'm falling out of love with gaming. Saw The Last Guardian E3 trailer - a game I've wanted for nearly a third of my life! - and all I could think was "meh." Gaming just doesn't excite me in any way at the moment. Forced myself to go through Far Cry 4 (as I loved the third) and despite Platinuming it I couldn't tell you a single thing about it, just left no impression on me. Even my excitement for Arkham Knight has completely gone now. Sure a lot of people see my comments on here and think I'm just slagging Sony but it's a Sony site. If I comment on a Nintendo or Microsoft one I'm just the same as, for me, games are at an all time low. Least it's sunny today though, ha.
