Shocking news: DICE will show the first official gameplay footage from Star Wars: Battlefront at E3 2015 next month. Writing as part of a long – but padded – blog post, design director Niklas Fegraeus confirmed the snippet, stating that the studio has "great plans" for the Los Angeles-based convention. We expect the game will appear at both EA and Sony's press conferences.
Elsewhere, the developer alluded to the title's 'Fighter Squadron' mode, which we apparently got a taste of during the title's first trailer when an X-Wing was shown chasing a Tie-Fighter over a canyon. While the company refrained from sharing any specifics about this, it's safe to assume that it will see you engaging in dogfights above a particular planet's atmosphere.
Remember, the release will not feature any space battles – but we reckon that we could settle for some Warhawk-esque aerial skirmishes. Which iconic aircraft are you most looking forward to piloting? Shoot us down in the comments section below.

I will wait for reviews and LP footage before I believe anything, thankyouverymuchkthxbai.
Of course it'll be unveiled during Sony's conference. Forget showing first party stuff and let EA show it at theirs. "Let's treat third party games like first party games and not show anything from our first parties, screw it!". I'm ready to see first party stuff, even if it's a year away. I don't care, give me something to look forward to.
I could do with a good laugh during E3
They're saving space battles for BF2, I guess. I can't wait to see what the E11 looks like in fps mode. Alwats fun to be a TK no matter the medium
Let's hope it's featured in EA press rather than Sony press... I rather see other more interesting stuffs in Sony press...
