Mordor Stab

Game of the Year editions are often the source of some interesting conversation around the 'net. It's usually argued that half of the titles that actually get these special re-releases arguably don't deserve them, as their existence hinges almost solely on the fact that a complete package, with all of the previously released DLC included, may spur consumers into grabbing the game after missing out the first time around.

Enter Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor's recently announced Game of the Year edition, which - you guessed it - includes every single piece of downloadable content released to date. Fortunately for publisher Warner Bros., the game did actually scoop a bunch of Game of the Year accolades from numerous publications - including this very website - so we'll let it off the hook this time around.

The re-release's trailer, which highlights just how many awards the title received, is actually a pretty decent one, and it's laced with plenty of moody shots and hectic combat. If you haven't already journeyed into the dreary lands of Mordor, then we may even suggest that this could be the perfect time to see what all the fuss is about.
