You know your game has awful voice acting when even your PR guys make mention of it. Yes, the infamous dialogue of Mega Man 8 is making its way to the PlayStation Store on 27th May, along with the rest of the game. There's no word on a price just yet, but if past trends are anything to go by, it'll probably be under $10.
Mega Man has had a bit of a hit or miss library on Sony's platforms; the older titles came out at a time when the Blue Bomber seemed to be running out of steam, but in more recent years, fans have been won back over by the likes of Mega Man 9 and 10. Will you be revisiting Capcom's less loved title? Let us know in the comments down below.

All megaman games should be put in a compendium similar to Sega and Capcom classics last gen. I would pay £40 for the privilege.
This was my favorite mega man game I remember beating this game like 10x. I remember playing through it without continuing or stoping it took me like 3 or 4 hours. But that was after I beat a few times. This and castlevainia sotn were my faves on ps1. I love this game. It's one of the best 4 sure.
As per rules please don't talk about emulators. -Tasuki-
@themcnoisy they had mega man anniversary edition back on ps2 Xbox. It would be sweet if they did a new 1
Good. I've only played a few stages in this game years ago, but I don't currently have any way to play it. I wasn't put off that much by the awful voice acting. The voice acting in X4 was terrible, but it's still one of the best games in the X series.
I used to play this game just over and over again. The colors were incredible, and it really felt like a nice, refined Mega Man game that was true to the soul of the series. I'll gladly pay the $5.99 I'm sure it'll cost to snatch it up again.
Seriously though Sony, we've got to be able to play these on the PS4 without Now!
@Storytime7 really? I've always thought x's 1,2,3 and 5 were the best in the series. I played 4 a decent amount but I never thought it was as good as those for some reason.
@ztpayne7 I like X and X4 the most because the others either have a lot of backtracking to get 100% (X3 and X5) or are just bad games (X6 and X7). X2 is also good, never played X8.
agree with the guy above. If Sony truly wants to be the best console/gaming/entertainment hub in the world they would make every game in their global library accessible to all. why? cos us consumers can access any film or song in the world... why not games? come on Sony. Mean WHAT YOU SAY 'for the players' us gamers have backed you long enough no?
We all know Mega Man started on and was mostly on Nintendo consoles, but I actually played my first Mega Man game on Playstation. It just so happens to be Mega Man 8. Brings back memories.
@Storytime7 yeah. I heard all of them from 6 on are bad. So I never tried any of them.
I had this on PSone and really enjoyed it.
@themcnoisy They did have a Megaman Collection on PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. It had all 8 Mega Man games on it plus you can unlock two Arcade games as well.
Sadly, 8 its the worst megaman imo :/
This news just made my day to be honest.
Can't wait to "JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE" again lmao
Am I the only person in the world who loves Mega Man 8?
The voice acting is beyond cringeworthy but it's just as fun as the rest (cept 7 cause 7 sucks)
@SecondServing Honestly I'd prefer if Sony and Capcom had put the two Anniversary Collections (classic and X) as PS2 classics but we can't have everything sadly.
@Tasuki never heard of it which is odd. Was it released 06 or 07? Those years are the only greyscale in my gaming knowledge as I was joining the navy and was in basic training so it was pretty hard to keep up. But never heard of it or seen it.
