Well, it wouldn't be a Final Fantasy game without out-of-place apostrophes and bunny ears: Final Fantasy XIV's awkwardly named Y'shtola is the latest Dissidia Final Fantasy character to get the trailer treatment. Alright, technically the Team Ninja release isn't a PlayStation 4 game just yet – but seeing as the arcade cabinet is based upon Sony's next-gen system, we all know that it's coming.

At what point are SE going to drop the 'Final' from the titles?
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi They should, the core series is great but I pretty much ignore the spinoffs and mmos (other than zero) and even as a fan these spinoffs hurt the brand In my opinion.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi
I looooove Dissidia, hurry up and release it, Squeenix!
I'd take Yda over Y'shtola. She's dippy but she punches stuff!
I'm not a fan of FF but I remember when they used to come out they used to look amazing in comparison to most games of the same era. This however looks a bit lacklustre, or am I missing something and this is a remaster?
@Eldritch maybe they learnt their lesson that gameplay is more important than visual when FF13 released...
I can't pronounce that without saying s**t..
@themcnoisy sorry to say it but I gotta disagree man, yeah they're not all great, but cutting yourself off from all but the main offline series will leave you seriously missing out. Dissidia, Theatrhythm and FFXIV:ARR are all absolutely brilliant games!
Either way though I'm not sure I see what you mean about them being "damaging" for the franchise. I mean, particularly games like Dissidia and Theatrhythm, they're not meant to have plots on par with the main series, and when it comes down to it they're pretty much just celebrations of FF over the ages whilst experimenting in different genres. If anything the, FFXIII sequence of games have done far more damage to the series and its reputation than any spinoff could ever do.
@SteveButler2210 Chocobbo racing....
@SteveButler2210 ^This
@themcnoisy the quality of that one is irrelevant - everybody knows you're not a truly great franchise until you've pumped out a shameless Mario Kart clone!
@SteveButler2210 Maybe saying that ive got fftactics on the vita and that's good, set in ivalice, like vagrant story and ff12. I just want them to go full pelt on the offline main series like the ff6-ff10 era. Probably never see the imagination or quality like that again.
