We hope that you aren't running out of PlayStation 4 hard drive space, because chances are that you'll soon have to decide on what poor old game gets deleted if you're planning on nabbing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
it's not quite the biggest that we've seen, but the action role-playing game will take up a hefty 35GB if you plan on buying digitally. We also pray for those of you who have slow internet connections.
In better news, it's been revealed that if you decide to pre-order the title from the PlayStation Store, you'll get a ten per cent discount, knocking the release's price down from $60 to $54. Not too bad. On top of that, you'll also be able to load up the game before everyone else, as it'll be playable from 4PM PDT/ 7PM EDT on the 18th May - a few hours before it launches on the 19th.
At this point, we're unsure if roughly the same rules apply to Europe, but we'll be sure to update this article if and when we know more. Have you already pre-ordered Geralt's biggest adventure? Curse your remaining hard drive space in the comments section below.

Saying 7pm EDT is 12pm midnight UK I think that's only in America to ensure everyone can start at the same time.
As for the size considering GTAV's size I thought it'd be bigger in all honesty.
@Jonny Yeah, GTAV's size is ridiculous, even the disc install.
I thought it would be way bigger. Can't wait for it.
@darkswabber me too, I was expecting 50+
I just upgraded to a 2 TB's HD and also upgraded my internet speed.
Now I just need the game to actually work day one...
Why do you say "if you plan on buying digitally"? I thought install sizes are the same for physical and digital, since all games require a full install, or has that changed?
This being 35GB makes me wonder why the heck Batman Arkham Knight is 50GB
@DrClayman Not all install sizes are the same as the download sizes, but I wrote that mainly because we don't yet know what the install size is, just how big the download file is.
I pre-ordered from Best Buy get $10 back in reward points and the steelbook case delivered to my door. Even better plenty of room on my 2Tb HD.
I don't mine, I have a 2TB so bring it on 😤
@ShogunRok ah, cool. Never realised there was a difference between dl and install size.
@DrClayman It doesn't matter. Disc or digital is all the same. They're trying to make it sound like disc is better when either or is just the same.
35Gb of HDD storage...preorder cancelled.
Aren't most games around 40-50 GB? This doesn't seem too bad in comparison.
I have zero hard drive space left as I have too many games, physical and digital. I may have to upgrade my hdd as I don't won't to delete anymore games.
@cooleywl @WARDIE Internal HDDs are dirt cheap now, you can buy a 1TB for $80 New and a 2TB for $130 New.
I have a personal rule that any major $60 game I buy has to be on a disc, so I can loan to a friend, save disc space and resell if I don't like it. I've already upgraded my hd to 2TB, but learned my lesson from TLOU remastered digital purchase.
@cooleywl
You can pre-order disc version and still get it day one release.
@BlueProxy
Dandelion is returning with a similar role...preorder canceled.
35 GB is not that big when comparing with GTA 5
@cooleywl Charles Dance not actually dancing.
Preorder cancelled.
