As April comes to a close and May approaches, one thing is on our minds – and no, it's not nicer weather. May 4th marks the annual celebration of Star Wars Day, and so Sony is joining in – or maybe just cashing in, depending on how you see things – on the festivities.
First and foremost, the Japanese giant is adding four new "classics" to the PlayStation Network. If you still happen to have your PlayStation 3 hooked up and a bit of spare cash, then you'll be able to revisit Star Wars: Starfighter, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and Star Wars: Racer Revenge. Those interested may want to go ahead and jump on it, as there'll be a 25 per cent discount this week only.
But what's a celebration without something free? An admittedly underwhelming Millennium Falcon theme for the PlayStation 4 is up for grabs. Unfortunately, there's no special music playing – just the standard home menu tune – and no fancy visuals. What you see is what you get, and what you see is a picture of the Millennium Falcon that reads 'Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection'. Subtle.
Now before you hang up your party hats and go home, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is a fun little game that we think may be worth your time, so long as you're still into downloading games from 2002. Oh, who are we kidding? Just give us Star Wars: Battlefront already.

Doesn't look amazing, but how can you not have a Star Wars theme?!?
Also its a shame there is no battlefront 2 there because I would be tempted to go buy a Ps3 and forget about my ps4 till Eso.
I'm actually going to get Star Wars Racing Revenge and Bounty Hunter, plus some new Star Wars Zen Pinball tables and PS1's Dark Forces.
@Azikira yeah dude! Racer on my old PC was fun... Bounty Hunter for $8 is ridiculously good tho. Too bad it's not Jedi Starfighter! DF is still great too. Why do people hate on LucasArts so fervently?
@NeverGoFulRetard that's true, I'd buy it for certain. I stupidly traded my 60gb for a super slim so no ps2 for me........😖........
Also, I think you guys meant your tag line to be "What a piece of junk!" since it's the Falcon😅
@charlesnarles Ooh, that's a good one too
Star Fighter doesn't suck.
You can get it on steam/gog/ for a couple of quid though.
there is a SW sale on vita right now. Anyone can comment are they worth the 40? Battlefront 2 seems interesting.
Bounty Hunter I enjoyed...even though these ones were Gamecube exclusives, I kind of wish the Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 titles were available! Too bad the Force Unleashed 1 and 2 weren't part of a deal on PS3...I can barely find them to get them back.
I like the theme but I wish we could swap music from other themes. I've kept that LBP construction paper theme so long just because the music is so welcoming hehe.
If you pre order Battlefront there's also a theme that has a stormtrooper on it (i'm using it atm) that you can dl'd now.
@maamets it's okay on Vita, but it's best to get the ps2 version. Vita controls are kinda messed up.
Bounty Hunter has a 480p option btw. It looks pretty great
@maamets
You'd probably be better off downloading the 3 battlefronts seperately (it'd be about $13). If you really want to play the others too you'd still save money by downloading them sepperately.
Those Star Wars games ain't too bad.
The new Star Wars Battlefront? Please. After EA's announcement of the games content it's barely worth the asking price compared to previous entries
