Bit of a weird one, this, but YouTube user ElAnalistaDeBits reckons that the PlayStation 4 version of Grand Theft Auto V has suffered a graphical downgrade after the game's latest update.
On Reddit, opinions are torn as to why this might be. Some argue that it's a purposeful move, with Rockstar having to tweak things in order to add various visual effects or to make the release run more smoothly, while others say that it's merely a mistake, and that the developer's trying to fix it.

I admit I know absolutely nothing about video game development but I don't think it's possible to "accidentally" downgrade graphics with a patch and then publish the patch itself without realizing it.
All I noticed was that the foliage in the 1.08 version moved in the wind.
PC conspiracy I believe is in motion.
waiting for "microsoft paid them to do it" if they did...its a b*tchy move....I can clearly see a difference.
1.08 looks better to me.
The only thing I can really notice is the gravel both by the flower bed and under the train tracks. In 1.0 it looks like individual rocks that are siting there, in 1.08 it looks like a flat piece of wallpaper.
Not sure why, but it was very noticeable to me.

All I want to know is what happened to the damage model. I used to be able to take a car to the top of a mountain, then kick the ever loving crap out of it until it was a complete wreck. Now i can't even bend a bumper with a 140 mph head-on crash. Just a "we know and we are working on it" would do, but R* are too busy swimming in all them moneys.
This is a kick to the stones. The reason i made a double purchase of this game was for the improved graphics!..hope this will be fixed in the next patch.
It looks identical, other than the videos being taken at different times during in game days.

I don't see much of a difference, must see it myself and judge then. Still don't think it won't bother me much though.
had not studied the graphics close enough to notice anything downgraded after the update but i did notice the massive improvement of little to no frame rate drops in heavy traffic,which is more important to me,hopefully if graphics are bumped back up again the frame rate wont be bumped back down again!
Yeah, I see no differences. It still looks great on PS4.
