Maybe it's the writing, maybe it's the voice acting, we don't know - but we bet a lot of people who watch Onechanbara Z2: Chaos' Western announcement trailer will think that it looks a bit cheap.
Production values aren't everything, of course, and we reckon it does look like it could prove to be fun in a very over the top way. Clocking in at just under a minute, the video introduces the game's playable schoolgirls and a few of their favourite moves.

Since I'm at work and it would be tough to explain to my students why their teacher is watching that video in class, I didn't hear the voice acting, but the gameplay at least looks like the usual bucket of fun that the other Onechanbara games were. Hopefully it'll be less repetitive, but it looks like fun.
so bad it might be good. i think it looks pretty funny.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I see you're not liking the looks of this one!
Horrible voiceover... :/
With how much of an emphasis people put on 1080p60 these days, this game must be instantaneously better than 95% of the Ps4's current library for sporting those technical bullet points
@ElkinFencer10 dude I wish I had a teacher like you! XD
No.... Just, just no.
@MadchesterManc You've got a point; there are a heck of a lot of overlooked games on PS4 that reach 1080p at 60fps, and they're rarely praised for it.
THANK U GOD.
@ShogunRok I guess 1080p 60fps should be standard with all games, but yeah you're right...it at least deserves a mention.
I think no matter how much horsepower you give developers, they're always going to go overboard with the graphics and choke things down to 24-30 fps with jaggies and sub-1080p. I'd like to see graphics options in console games to let users choose between a better-looking game or a better-performing game.
hey, it's a PS4 Exclusive nevertheless.. heheh...
I actually like this series on the 360 and Wii. They weren't the best of graphics and not the greatest story, but they were addicting games.
@Alpha
You should see their reactions when I pull out my 3DS or my Vita and start playing while they take their tests on Fridays. Jaws dropped the first week. =P Apparently it's uncommon for high school teachers to do that. It just seems like common sense to me. Mr. Deck's First Rule - "Never leave home without a video game."
@JLPick
Dude, no doubt. Graphically, like you said, they were bland, and the story is kind of garbage, but it was so much fun. Even waggling the controller on Wii until my arm ached was a blast with all of the zombie carnage. Despite the low production values, I'm psyched for this game.
Had fun playing the 360 and wii games with a buddy, hope this one has coop.
