Popping up at a recent event in Hong Kong, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD's director, Hajime Tabata, shared some artwork on a project dubbed 'Final Fantasy Type Next'. The project was originally in development before focus was shifted to Final Fantasy XV.
Obviously, there are no real details to share regarding the game itself, but the images make for some interesting viewing nonetheless. Would you like to see this sequel be reborn at some point down the line, or are you uninterested? Report for active duty in the comments section below.

I'm really enjoying this game so far so a sequel would be awesome.
A sequel would be awesome, just wonder how long down the line they already are? Were they initially going to bring this out west without ever showing type-0; it's happened before for other games and their sequels. And then subsequently decided to store this to bring out type-0 first? I think that is very likely. So they may have at least the initial story for the sequel on the back burner.
...already?
but Type-0 was only just released (well in the UK, it's been out in Japan a while now)
still I'm loving it so far so if a sequel was in the works I wouldn't mind
also loving Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae and if this anything to go by FFXV will be one of the best Final Fantasy's in a while
@FullbringIchigo
Well, Type 0 has been out for a decade, we're just only now getting the remastered version.
I don't think the calendar has been invented yet that goes that far out into the future. This will release when we're all living on a starship exploring the galaxy in search of a new planet to call home after the Cylon war.
@JaxonH has it been that long?
wow O.O
@FullbringIchigo Not even close to a decade. The PSP version released in 2011.
I'd gladly play this sequel, looks interesting
Classic Square Enix, announcing game that isn't even active in development... Think FF versus13, FF Agito 13, KH 3...
@whywai88
Yup, par for the course. Japan will get the game in 2021, other regions sometime in 2025
Ima little late to the party, but loving type zero so far. and I think I could dig a sequel too, but the images kinda throw me off, a little... some of the stuff seems modern .. I dunno, not that that's a bad thing necessarily .
