There are more indie games than we know what to do with these days, but every now and then, a title jumps out from the crowd. Hunger, the latest project from LittleBigPlanet Vita developer Tarsier Studios, is one such title, as this teaser trailer is absolutely phenomenal. It's also not for the faint of heart, so take heed, scaredy-cats.
The title essentially sees you play as a young girl in an underwater labyrinth. Your objective is to escape, as the environment is filled with weird and wonderful monsters. There's definitely a Sackboy-like feel to the way that the character moves, and the dollhouse-inspired camera perspective furthers the similarities with Media Molecule's franchise.
The twist, then, is that it's ridiculously creepy. The Swedish developer's billing this as 'suspense adventure', and we can certainly see what it means. There was some talk of it being a PlayStation 4 exclusive at one point, but it looks like the European Union has stepped in to help fund the frightening foray. Hopefully it still deploys on Sony's device.
