Sony staple Super Stardust Ultra will enter the PlayStation 4's orbit as soon as next week, the platform holder has announced. The next-gen re-release will deploy on 10th February in North America and 11th February in Europe, and, as you should probably expect, will run in 1080p at a blisteringly fast 60 frames-per-second.
In addition to familiar faithfuls like Endless and Bomber mode, it'll also include a handful of new options, like Blockade, which will essentially see mines excreted from the back of your ship. Another selection, imaginatively named Live Streaming, will allow Twitch and Ustream viewers to vote on occurrences in your game. Nifty, eh?
If all of that wasn't enough, there'll be full support for up to four players in local split-screen multiplayer and co-op modes, while the title will also boast stereoscopic 3D compatibility for those with fancy television screens. It'll retail for €12.99/$12.99 at launch, though PlayStation Plus subscribers will get an extra 20 per cent off. We'll see you on the leaderboards.

Getting this asap! Delta on vita was awesome. Should i also buy resogun?
@Sanquine Yeah, if you love Stardust, you'll love Resogun, too. I can't recommend it enough.
Seriously? It's out next week? Man, I can't freakin' wait!!! I still remember falling in love with the Super Stardust HD demo when I first got my PS3.
Awesome
I'm a sucker for these types of games. Nano Assault Neo, Stardust Delta, Resogun, and now this will make an excellent addition.
I may have to bite. Although I do find myself enjoying Resogun more than I have the Stardust games.. And Geometry Wars 3 is super fun as well.. Hmm.. I dunno. Got Monster Hunter and Majora's Mask next week, and I'm still playin Grim Fandango..
Perfect, PERFECT timing for me. I anticipate playing this into the ground until The Order and Kirby release the following week. Heck, I'm sure I'll be gunning down meteors and other space rocks for months to come. 😊
Considering the a Ps3 version already has 1080p60 & 3D support with pretty much all those additional features mentioned in the last paragraph if you'd bought the DLC, I won't be dipping again for this even tho I regard it as the devs finest hour. The few extras aren't worth the asking price for previous owners
But does it still 3D in your face ???
Oh it does,.Sold then.
Did I hear someone say "cross buy".
@B3ND3R How does Super Stardust compare to Geometry Wars 3? I'll pick up at least one of the two PS4 versions. I dig twin stick shooters, and while I like Resogun just fine, honestly, my favorite is still Geometry Wars: Galaxies on the Wii with a classic controller.
