Super Stardust Ultra PS4 1

Sony staple Super Stardust Ultra will enter the PlayStation 4's orbit as soon as next week, the platform holder has announced. The next-gen re-release will deploy on 10th February in North America and 11th February in Europe, and, as you should probably expect, will run in 1080p at a blisteringly fast 60 frames-per-second.

In addition to familiar faithfuls like Endless and Bomber mode, it'll also include a handful of new options, like Blockade, which will essentially see mines excreted from the back of your ship. Another selection, imaginatively named Live Streaming, will allow Twitch and Ustream viewers to vote on occurrences in your game. Nifty, eh?

If all of that wasn't enough, there'll be full support for up to four players in local split-screen multiplayer and co-op modes, while the title will also boast stereoscopic 3D compatibility for those with fancy television screens. It'll retail for €12.99/$12.99 at launch, though PlayStation Plus subscribers will get an extra 20 per cent off. We'll see you on the leaderboards.
