Don't fret it too much, fella

We know everyone loves a good leak, especially when it's a big game under the spotlight, but a lot of the time, these rumours are shot down before they can really gather momentum. That's not quite what's happened regarding Destiny and yesterday's House of Wolves leak, but developer Bungie's tried putting a dampener on it anyway.

Dousing the flames is community manager DeeJ, who, in a post on the shooter's forums, writes that "aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves," he continues: "That means that anything you know about it can change." Essentially, this means that the leak is indeed genuine, but the content that's been found isn't indicative of the final download whatsoever.

"These placeholder items enable us to save room on your drive for actual future updates. You'll all download them before it's time to play," the representative explains, before concluding: "What you see here are very old ghosts from our pre-launch database. These are not necessarily the wolves you're looking for." How very clever.

What wasn't mentioned, however, was the supposed May 2015 release date. Nevertheless, will you be launching into Destiny's second expansion? Fight the Fallen in the comments section below.
