Hold onto your hats and wallets everyone, because this is the week that you’ve been waiting for. It’s been a disappointing year in general for gaming, but the penultimate Tuesday before Thanksgiving may yet redeem everything. Vying for your attention from tomorrow in North America are a handful of teensy titles, including Grand Theft Auto V, Far Cry 4, WWE 2K15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. The only disappointment for European readers is that you’ll have to wait an extra week for LittleBigPlanet 3 – but that may be for the best.
Pick of the Week: Grand Theft Auto V
We honestly could have printed any of the abovementioned titles here, but Grand Theft Auto V has to be the pick of the pack. While this is a re-release of last year’s PlayStation 3 game, it just so happens to be a title that’s already sold a dizzying 34 million copies, with this enhanced edition likely to push that figure even higher over the coming year.
It’s more than just your average port, too, with new wildlife, music, and perspectives making it the definitive edition of a bonafide classic. Indeed, you’ll be able to play the entire title from a first-person viewpoint this time around, with fresh vehicle cockpits, weapon animations, and more completely changing the game. Los Santos will never look the same again.

Far Cry 4 (Me) Little Big Planet 3 (Wife) and WWE 2K15 (Brother)
52 Tuesdays in a year, and they all picked this one.
And not a single 1 of those 5 multiplats (LBP3 is both last gen and this gen) is on Wii U, which gets Watch Dogs on Tuesday instead. (SSBU isn't out until Friday.)
Question - does GTAV on PS4 and X1 have a subtitle like "Enhanced" or "Collectors' Ed. or "1080p and 30FPS" or something to distinguish it from the the PS3 and Xbox360 versions? I've seen the photos and it's certainly improved, and FPS view means it can almost be played as a different game, but I haven't yet seen an official subtitle.
We'll be getting LBP3 on PS3 for the holidays, just haven't decided which holiday yet.
@rjejr I believe it's just called Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4 - no subtitle. And, yeah, it's so stupid releasing all of these massive games on the same day.
@get2sammyb - "Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4"
"on the PS4" isn't officially part of the title though is it? "SSB for Wii U" really is so I guess it's possible. Just checked the boxes on Amazon US and UK and the boxes all just say "GTAV" so I guess its just GTAV then. Maybe they're saving the subtitles for the PS5 "4K" version?
Dos anybody else think Gamespots website looks like it was designed for Compuserve or Prodigy in 1994?

@rjejr Haha... Yeah, that's what I meant: it's just called 'Grand Theft Auto V' on the PS4... Got there in the end!
They should have called it 'Grand Theft Auto V: Redux', right @Confused_Dude?
6 games coming out on Vita this week (5 US, 2 EU) is that a record?
Im gettin what I've been saying for 5mnths. Theeeee game that made me buy a PS4 in the first place, WWE 2K15... GTA V can wait afew weeks for me.
quite the weak lol Im getting LBP3 Extras eddition (PS4)
@rjejr : think you mean does
@get2sammyb lol nice gif! My wallet is currently crying and my debit card has melted thanks to all these lovely games!
My vote went to FC4 but it could just as easily have gone to LBP3, GTA5 or Monopoly Family Fun Pack... (one of those it a lie!)
Golly. I still need to play Shadow of Mordor, so I've totally given up on the idea that I'll have time for GTA 5. So probably Far Cry 4 and LBP 3 for the moment. Also, @ShogunRok has somehow convinced me to buy DA:I, so I'll have to squeeze that in somewhere too, I guess.
That is one hell of a line up.
@eliotgballade -

Better?
Just like busses. Nothing for ages then loads at once. Ive got GTA5 coming tomorrow ( I hope, Royal Mail pending). As for the others I will get Far Cry 4 then AC Unity then Dragon Age. Little Big Planet doesn't appeal to me.
Of the big titles I need to complete I've only got shadow of Mordor, alien isolation can be brought to it's knees over a weekend. I voted for dragon age as its currently the only game I have on order and I've never played a dragon age game before. Its gonna swallow plenty of time.
Too much coming out! I think they have chosen this Tuesday because it is rather close to Black Friday. Get the games out so the bundles can be created! Tatics to get us to spend our hard earned cash!
far cry 4 is what i'm looking forward to most. but i'll get lbp3 and gta v. i've never played a dragon age game so i'm not sure about it. can i jump right in or should i have played the others?
unfinished swan as well, been looking forward to that
Got WWE 2K15 pre-ordered
Nothing for me, though I will eventually play Grand Theft Auto V, just need to wait until I can afford to purchase a PS4.
(I hope to play GTA V on my PS3 sometime in early 2015 though)
@k_andersen Rubs hands/licks lips
I got LBP3 plush edition on preorder, hopefully picking it up tonight.
Nothing...
@Sunnyshores - I think it helps if you've played the other Dragon Age games, as there will be recurring themes and characters, but not necessary. I have every faith that you'll enjoy it nonetheless
As for me, I can't wait for Dragon Age. Been looking forward to a sequel since finishing DA2, and it seems unreal that it's finally here. It's going to take up so much of my time!
@rjejr Unfortunately, those are pretty much the last six games coming out for Vita, and not a single one of them are worth buying IMO. Thankfully Vita just got Tales of Hearts R- it's always nice to end on a good note.
But man, what a week for PS4! Dragon Age Inquisition, Far Cry 4 and GTAV for me. I hate wrestling games (except for the old N64 classics) and LBP was never for me, despite the fact platformers are my favorite genre. But those 3 games are more than enough. It's the fact that they are all going to be excellent games that really pleases me.
And hey, maybe one day if they ever get Assassins Creed Unity running properly, I can enjoy that too. For now it'll have to sit quietly in its case in shame
@SanderEvers Kinda defeats the purpose of owning a PS4 if you're not going to buy any games for it. Don't get me wrong I love the Wii U and 3DS too (I'm sure anyone here can testify to that) but those are some good games you're forfeiting! EA and Ubisoft are about as bad as they come, but a good game is a good game. And we are gamers because we like to play good games right?
My motto is, don't punish yourself (and the developers) just because the game has a crappy publisher. Buy used or buy new and sell afterward. But don't miss an epic game just because you hate the guys who funded it!
I say this as a friend. I know what you're going through and how you feel. I just got past it and realized it's not worth missing a good game over
@JaxonH
I'm not going to lie. It's stunning that Dragon Age: Inquisition has apparently turned out to be good. Earlier in the year if I had been asked to name some games sure to disappoint, that may have topped the list. Somehow the new Bioware pulled one out of its rearend. I'm glad they did but still shocked.
My poor college budget wallet can't handle all the great games coming out!
got far cry 4 this morning, decent game, some additions to far cry cry 3, thou the story isnt as good as far cry 3. looking forward to getting new dragon age on thursday
Put GTA on my x-mas list to save me some $. In the meantime, I will be picking up FC and DA. Just in time, too, because I just got through Mordor and Sherlock. Vote was a toss up. I went with FC because the reviews sounded tempting.
