Tekken 7 will punch its way into Japanese arcades in February 2015, publisher Bandai Namco has announced. The beat-‘em-up was only revealed this summer at the Evo 2014 championships in July, but the organisation has been location testing the release for several weeks now overseas. This news is significant, as a PlayStation 4 port is set to follow the arcade outing.
Unlike previous editions, the firm has opted to employ Unreal Engine 4 for this version, allowing it to focus on the game rather than the technology. In addition to the usual band of bonkers characters, new challengers will include Catalina, a Latin American brawler with a big mouth, and a fashionable fighter named Claudio.
For this version, game director Katsuhiro Harada has said that he wants to focus on “Tekken’s true essence”, so expect a more traditional experience, as opposed to the tag-team format of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I'm more of an MK fan but this will be in my basket nxt yr jus to see how the ps4 graphics is going to push it out
I love Tekken. I've played the series since Tekken 2 and I've tried to keep up since. I haven't played seriously until Tag 2 though, and man, that game was hard to really get down pat. I'm only a Mentor online, which is pretty low. I know a few combos and use a few characters but I'll be the first to admit I'm not that great.
Hopefully when this comes out I'll get better and have better time. Every new installment is like a fresh start.
So Arcades ain't gone never die huh
I wish arcades were more popular around the world again there's not enough good arcade games these days.
Also finding way more difficult to adjust to the Bandai Namco name change then I thought it would be
