And breathe again. After the downpour of new releases in October, we’re thankful for a week that doesn’t have quite as much stuff. Not that there’s an overwhelming lack of new PlayStation titles for you to plough through, with Samurai Warriors 4, The Legend of Korra, and the brilliantly named Fluster Cluck all vying for your attention this time. Let’s get down to business.

Pick of the Week: Samurai Warriors 4

It had to happen at some point, but this editor is really feeling the pressure right now. With the brilliant Samurai Warriors 4 attaining a lofty 9/10 in our review, it’s the ideal candidate for our Pick of the Week – but your humble host is completely ignorant when it comes to this series, and resident expert Robert Ramsey is currently out of the office. Feel free to toss rotten tomatoes into the comments section below.

Seriously, though, Koei Tecmo’s latest button basher is the best in its class, and a fitting celebration of the franchise’s tenth anniversary. While it may feel like there’s a new musou outing every month, that frequency has enabled developer Omega Force to hone its craft – and this entry is indicative of that, as it’s arguably the most polished yet. With over 50 characters and plenty of presentational panache, this feudal affair is more than deserving of our spotlight slot.
