Journey into the realm of Eorzea before the 10th September and you may just run into a familiar face. That's right, Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning is carving her way into Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn once again, as she returns for the third event of this kind.
Even if you're not a fan of Lightning and her rather divisive games, you still might like to know that you'll nab some rare clothing sets from fighting alongside the pink haired heroine. Female adventurers will get their own Lightning costume, while male players will receive Snow's outfit. However, if you already took part in this same event when it was active back in November 2013 or February 2014, you won't be able to battle next to the agile protagonist again.
Are you a fan of franchise crossovers, or do you wish that Lightning would keep out of as many games as possible? Show us your lovely locks in the comments section below.

FFXIV:ARR is a fan service game through and through (and I like it that way). As such, I see no reason to hate on SquareEnix cross overs, so long as it adds enjoyment to the game. Unfortunately the cross overs tend to all be in the F.A.T.E.S. category, with very little actual substance, and the gear you get from these is practically useless (so its mostly cosmetic).
I get that they don't want to put a lot of resources into content that has a short shelf life, but it makes it feel like an after thought, rather than an intricate part of the FFXIV universe.
If cake-walk F.A.T.E.S. and cosmetic gear is all we are going to get from these events, I would rather they assign whatever developers they have working on these tasks, on more permanent content.
I did a FATE today and she popped in. Got Fangs lance which was stronger than what I had!
You can dye the gear too My friend and I made evil twin Paladin glamours
