Oh dear, Nicola!

The good old Biohazard t-virus has caused a mass of problems over the past 18 years, but it all had to start somewhere. It's those humble beginnings that you'll be able to re-experience, this time in the high definition remake of Resident Evil due out on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 early next year.

To help the zombie outbreak get going, Capcom is enlisting your help to help infect all of Raccoon City with the promise of DLC when the area is overrun.

With the city's citizens already 26% corrupted by the plague and the iconic mansion looking pretty much screwed, there's still some time until we learn about the free swag. In the meantime, you can get yourself a special medical certificate as proof of your infection along with how you were infected, so when playing through the franchise, you can know that somewhere within the zombie hordes, you're a S.T.A.R.

Do you think that this promotion is better than just having free day one DLC? Raise the dead in the comments section below.
