You may have come here for the latest PlayStation news, but let's face it, the Internet's true calling is cats – and one game during Sony's E3 2014 press conference totally nailed it. Arrowhead's critically acclaimed, friendship destroying, co-operative experience is finally coming to the PlayStation 4 in the form of sequel Magicka 2.
For those unfamiliar with the series, a group of wizards set off on a journey to save the kingdom from monstrous threats, using magic to slay all in their path – including each other. Unlike most co-op titles, this franchise flips on the friendly fire switch, leaving no one safe from the atomic-scale magical destruction. And if the announcement trailer is anything to go by, we can expect to see more of the same judging by the sad accident to our fluffy little friend.
While the bite-sized chunk of gameplay shown at the end is leaving us hungry for more, the trailer on the whole tickled our funny bone after a long night of game announcements and coffee chugging. After all, what other adventure would advertise the depressing existence our heroes suffer in-between productions cycles for a lark? Are you waiting to wreak havoc on your friends list? Keep the safety on in the comments section below.
Cat got owned.
Straight to cat hell.
This was one of the show's highlights right here.
@ErnisDy They might use a system like in Final Fantasy XIV as there were too many spells for the buttons. By holding down the trigger buttons, it would change the inputs so you could have double the ammount. I doubt they would be releasing it if they didn't have a similar plan.
