Between the likes of Bloodborne, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and The Order: 1886, cobbled pavements are definitely back in vogue on the PlayStation 4. But it’s the latter’s Victorian corridors that look the most next-gen of all, as this impressive gameplay demo shows off Ready at Dawn’s jaw dropping E3 2014 booth demo in its entirety.
In truth, if game director Dana Jan wasn’t holding a DualShock 4, we wouldn’t believe that parts of this video are real gameplay footage. The way that the release switches between cinematics and gunplay is incredibly impressive, as both utilise the same assets to create seamless transitions between the two.
And if you don’t believe that the cutscenes are being rendered in realtime, there’s even a glitch at the end of the demo to prove as much. It’s not all about the graphics either, with the thermite rifle encouraging you to paint gas clouds around your targets and light them up with flares. We reckon that this is shaping up nicely, and can’t wait to see more over the coming months.

It's pretty i don't deny that... but the gameplay. We are not idi**ts... This is super linear... i don't mind an experience like uncharted ( cutscenes) but this was more cutscenes than gameplay
'back in vogue' nice way to put it.. I never doubted about this incredible game but such is the power of the media.
@Sanquine Im not sure you can really make a difference between cutscenes and gameplay its all part of the game which IS innovative IMO
"The Order: 1886 Is PS4's Prettiest Game"
Not sure Uncharted agrees with you Sammy!
@N711 I agree. I like the way gameplay and cut scenes just meld together. Can't wait.
I'm glad I have my Wii U to balance out all of these dark games on the PS4 2015 is going to be an awesome year
I was amazed with the trailer, but even though the game looked great, it seemed very cinematic and linear when they showed it off. I think Ill wait till it releases and gets reviewed before Im interested in this.
There's a long time before its released, this is pretty much the same gameplay we saw before. Chillax.
Way too much QTE's and cut scenes for my liking sure it looks nice but if I wanted to watch a movie I would stick in a DVD or go to the cinema, shame as I really liked the look of this.
@Reverandjames True det also most gamers suck nowadays
