We’re only six months into the new generation, and Activision’s movie tie-in business is already off to a middling start. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 certainly isn’t terrible, but it’s far from incredible either, meaning that we have decidedly low expectations for the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. Due out on 24th June in North America and 27th June in Europe, the game aims to depict an Earthly conflict between the original Robots in Disguise and Michael Bay’s less memorable machines.
While the publisher’s yet to actually clarify who’s developing the game, this latest title appears to be very much built from the same blueprints as High Moon Studios’ excellent Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. There’s a glimpse of characters both old and new in this footage, as Peter Cullen delivers yet another rousing – albeit utterly predictable – Optimus Prime monologue. Update: We were a little hasty posting a leaked version of this trailer earlier in the week, and removed the story at the request of Activision. Now that the video has been officially released, we've opted to re-publish the offending article. Enjoy.

I'm hoping this game turns out well but not counting on it. Hopefully we get another entry in the Cybertron series at some point. I would think it'd be inevitable but from what I heard sales on Fall of Cybertron were pretty damn bad.
This doesn't look any good to me. Another tie in flop.
FOC worked because it was its own story and wasnt following those awefull movies.
I hope this follows that formula.
I like the Rodimus hate comment that is usually used in the title. I sort of liked him though. As for the game I am looking forward for it.
Nostalgia overload reading this.
As an aside, I really hope Fall of Cybertron finds it's way onto PS Plus.
Sweet. I'm looking forward to this. If it's like Fall of Cybertron, but gives some of it's scenario and cinematic quality for replayability, then I think I'll love it. I've pre-ordered this, so I really hope it comees through lol.
@SimonAdebisi Sorry, but that is all you will be seeing on the Wii U from us. Goodnight!
Peter Cullen sounds like he has some food in his throat.
It's weird because he found the voice again just fine in the first two Bayformers, and in Fall and Bayformers 3 he started doing this... I dunno... I want to say lisp, but it's not a lisp.
@memoryman3 huh...
I will have to see the reviews for this game... It looks interesting, I like how they are using the original Transformers as well as the Michael Bay movie ones. The story, however, doesn't at all look interesting. The trailer could have been for any other Transformers game, minus graphics... Every time it's the same thing.
@memoryman3 Your avatar disgusts me.
i wish they'd make a sequel (or just re-release) to "Prelude to Energon" from the PS2 :/
