Hit the targets

First-person shooter Titanfall may not be the big hardware mover that Microsoft wanted, but it’s sure stretching its robotic legs in the UK sales charts right now. In truth, the title is probably being propped up by the slew of Xbox One bundles that are flooding UK retail – and we suspect that the price drops aren’t hurting either. Nevertheless, this is its third consecutive week at the summit, which certainly isn’t to be sniffed at.

Elsewhere, the top ten paints a fairly familiar picture, with EA Sports 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil slipping just behind its parent publisher’s fellow blockbuster in second, while Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14, and LEGO The Hobbit round out the top five. South Park: The Stick of Truth conjured a place in seventh, while Battlefield 4 parked a tank in tenth. Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son held on in 15th, while Gran Turismo 6 surged into 31st.

With the physical release calendar starting to look a little quiet until Watch Dogs, don’t expect many major changes over the coming weeks. Still, our spider sense predicts that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 should shake things up a little next time, while the physical edition of pretty role-playing game Child of Light could put up a decent fight, too.
