"Apologies, sir"

Gaming’s most likeable Lombax appears to be bringing his biggest guns to the PlayStation Vita, as Sony has now listed a version of the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy for its commercially challenged portable platform. The port popped up on popular UK outlet Shop To.net earlier in the month with a 20th June release date attached, but the platform holder’s Italian arm now claims that the package is due out on 2nd July.

While we’re more inclined to trust the latter date – it just so happens to be a Wednesday, which is when the PlayStation Store updates in Europe – we reckon that this added evidence all but confirms that the conversion is on the way. The manufacturer said at E3 last year that it was planning to bring more handheld compilations out, and this month alone we’ve already seen Dead Nation and the Sly Cooper Collection deploy.

The big question is: will you be able to stomach the first game’s final boss battle against Chairman Drek again? We’re breaking into a sweat just thinking about it.
