Sony may have inadvertently indicated that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s platform exclusive DLC could sail to other systems after six months, but publisher Ubisoft has clarified that that’s not quite the case. Earlier in the month, a posh PlayStation 4 advertisement suggested that the console’s additional Aveline missions may expand to other machines in the future – even though the French publisher has no plans to port them elsewhere.

A Eurogamer.net report first revealed the snippet, before being reinforced by Joystiq. “I can confirm that at the current stage the PlayStation exclusive DLC isn't planned for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One,” a representative told the website. While we suppose that there’s a slim chance that that may change in the future, you’ll need to purchase the PS3 or PS4 version of the enjoyable seafaring excursion if you want to further the plot of portable spin-off Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation for now.
