Beyond: Two Souls

Assuming that you’re still not sold on Quantic Dream’s upcoming PlayStation 3 opus Beyond: Two Souls, you’ll be able to step into the shoes of protagonist Jodie Holmes next month. Sony has announced that it will be deploying a demo for the Parisian developer’s current-gen swansong, which will allow you to sample two full scenes from the game.

The first will see you assume the role of the protagonist at a very young age, as government officials at the Department of Paranormal Activities put her mysterious abilities to the test. Meanwhile, the second sequence will skip forward a few years, and will find the star hunted by the law, and forced to call upon her powers in order to escape.

The demo’s due out on 1st October in North America and 2nd October in Europe, though those of you in the Land of the Free will have an opportunity to earn access as soon as 24th September. Details are still forthcoming, but we suspect that PlayStation Plus members will be awarded early entry. While you wait for more information, you can check out the latest behind-the-scenes video below.

Are you going to play through the taster ahead of release, or would you prefer to go into the game blind? Let us know in the comments section.
