Sackboy really is the ultimate cross-marketing opportunity, isn’t he? Sony has teamed up with EA to bring some brand new outfits based on the Mass Effect series to LittleBigPlanet – and the results are unsurprisingly adorable. The image above shows Wrex, Garrus, Liara, and, of course, Commander Shepard – the problem is, that’s not the real Shepard.
The costumes will be available later today in North America and tomorrow in Europe. There’s no word on a price just yet, but we’d be willing to trade an intergalactic space ship such as the Normandy for these. Yeah, they’re that good.

There was a thread on this on GAF last night: anyone else think that Sony should use Sackboys on PS4 like Xbox Avatars? So everyone gets one to customise/buy microtransactions for? And it's displayed on the dashboard at all times.
These are awesome. I have never spent real money on LBP outfits but as a Mass Effect fan boy I'm tempted.
Speaking of Mass Effect are there no ME PSN avatars or XMB themes? I looked the other day and couldn't find any.

@get2sammyb See, I don't think that would be a bad idea. I think it's something that'd be ignored by many, though. But saying that, I'd rather have a little custom Sackboy than a Home avatar.
