Need for Speed: Rivals 1

Following this week’s teaser, EA Games has officially steered details regarding Need for Speed: Rivals online. The new racer – which is due out on 19th November on the PlayStation 3 and “later this year” on the PlayStation 4 – is in development at Ghost Games, the studio formerly known as EA Gothenburg. It’s being produced in conjunction with Criterion Games, and will take advantage of the Frostbite 3 engine.

The title aims to combine the “intensity of the street’s ultimate rivalry between cops and racers”, and will allow you to seamlessly switch between single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay. The action will take place in the fictitious setting of Redview County, where you’ll be able to totally personalise your experience with custom license plates, paint jobs, liveries, decals, and more.
