We don’t have a firm release date for the PlayStation 4 yet, which means that the timing of any software is also being kept under wraps. However, in an interview with our friends over at Outside Xbox, Jean Guesdon, the creative director on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, has hinted that the next generation version of the seafaring adventure will launch alongside its PlayStation 3 counterpart in late October.
Asked if there’d be any delay between the two versions, the developer simply said: “Same ship.” The current generation title is due out on 29th October in North America and 1st November in Europe – could the PS4 be on store shelves by then, too? Sony’s keeping tight-lipped for the time being, sticking with a vague Holiday 2013 release window. Let's hope that Guesdon knows something that we don't, huh?

Another Assassins Creed already?
@MadchesterManc
well, if that means another nice launch release, im all up for it
I can't believe how many commercials I've already seen for the PS3 version asking me to preorder it for an Oct release. I can honestly say I've seen more commercials for this than every Wii U game combined. Though if this is a Wii U game that kills that I guess.
I though we've already seen rumours of an Aug - Sept. PS4 launch? I honestly think that's a better time than late Nov. And Thanksgiving is the 28th this year, that's 1 less week for holiday shopping.
Hopefully they will put the PS3/PS4 versions both on the same disc.
I know the PS4 won't play PS3 games, but I mean use Blu-ray's 50GB capacity to put two copies of the game on the same disc, and it will be great for people transitioning from PS3 to PS4.
I kinda doubt they'd do it, but if they did I think it'd be great.
