Where’s ex-editor James Newton when you need him? SEGA's released a brand new teaser trailer that’s had everyone in the Push Square office stumped. The cryptic short – entitled 2 x 5 – features lots of screaming and the sound of Sonic losing rings. If you listen carefully, you’ll also spot the “Get Ready” voice sample from Virtual On.
The best theory we’ve read so far pertains to the impending arrival of five Model 2 titles on the PSN. The five games are likely to be Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, Sonic the Fighters, Virtua Striker and, of course, Virtual On. It certainly adds up – especially when you consider that Sonic the Fighters was pledged for a PSN release last week.

Man, if they're gonna put all those fighting games out I wish they'd just get to the point and release Fighters Megamix instead.

Yeah, I think that Model 2 theory is most likely. Nothing in that list of games interests me, either. C'mon SEGA, get with Skies of Arcadia HD already!
If it's not a new Sonic game, I'll scream with joy.
