Super charged

Activision has decided to remove the paywall from stat-tracking service Call of Duty Elite, making the supplementary service a free option for all Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players. The catch is that you’ll now need to shell out for a Season Pass if you want access to all of the shooter’s DLC at a discounted price. The subscription will cost $50 for four map packs, which represents a $10 saving over the post-release content’s standard price.

Despite the reconsidered business model, Activision is working on a slew of new features for Call of Duty Elite. In addition to the usual player and clan stat-tracking, there’ll now be complete zombies analysis and enhanced social features. It’s pretty much a must-have for the modern Call of Duty aficionado.
