Someone's happy

It seems it’s impossible for Sony to release a new LittleBigPlanet title without some kind of drama. Regular readers will recall the original game being delayed due to controversial lyrics in one of its songs, while the sequel missed out on its initial holiday release date by quite some margin. LittleBigPlanet Vita looked like it was going to buck the emerging trend – but according to our inside sources an internal error has prompted GameStop stores across North America to start selling the title ahead of its 25th September release date.

An enormous NeoGAF thread has confirmed the scoop, with numerous posters claiming they have already purchased a copy from their local store. It’s unclear whether other retailers are following the specialist outlet’s lead, but it’s only a matter of time now that the street date has been broken.

As always with stories like this, if you’re planning on purchasing the game, it’s worth contacting your favourite shop first in order to avoid disappointment. Let us know how you get in the comments section below.
