Back to school

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is not out on PlayStation 3 just yet, but it’s already proved extremely popular on other platforms. To date the downloadable throwback has ollied onto over 120,000 hard drives, and that number’s likely to double when it finally arrives on Sony’s system. It’s a figure that developer Robomodo reckons will lead to a “fuller game” at some point in the future.

"By making it 'lower risk' we were allowed to take some chances, which benefits both developer and publisher," gaffer Josh Tsui told Gamasutra. "[Due to the impressive sales] the prospect of a fuller game is definitely on the table – it's just a matter of when and how."

We’re all for Robomodo looking to the future, but obviously we’d like to play the original game first. Finish the PlayStation 3 version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, and then we’ll talk about a full-blown follow-up.
