Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a JRPG from Level-5 and Studio Ghibli that, for those aware of the project, is undoubtedly one to watch. In fact, in our Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch preview we said that its 'beautiful art style, empowering soundtrack and colourful overworld make it one of the most exciting propositions on PlayStation 3'.
The US release is confirmed, and those who are particularly keen can order the Wizard Edition direct from Namco Bandai for $99.99, which includes DLC, a plush doll of sidekick Drippy and a 300-page hardback spell book. Namco has now added further incentive with a Ninostarter campaign that's tracking pre-orders of this edition, with the promise that hitting certain targets will add additional goodies to the bundle. At the time of writing the tally was 2495, roughly 35% of the target.
No news yet on European release details, but this Kickstarter-esque approach to pre-order bonuses is certainly novel; we'll see whether it succeeds.

Everyone buy it! Can't wait to see what kind of other stuff they are considering adding. Some sort of statue/figurine would be nice. A poster would be great. A DVD that compiles all of the cutscenes together would be cool, because the quality is going to be so high. And a soundtrack. Studio Ghibli always has great music. I think what I would enjoy the most is a documentary/making of. But I guess that probably would have been included already if they filmed something like that.
yup cant wait for it
@Squiggle55: A DVD? I hope you meant to say Bluray. It's a PS3 game...there's literally no reason to pack in a lousy DVD.
Not digging that this has to be done through their website...but it's too cool to pass up.
EDIT: For the record, once you add shipping and sales tax (why on EARTH are they charging me tax when no other website does?), it comes to more like $115. I suppose for what's included (and the hope of even MORE goodies) it's worth it, but...that's still pricy.
Even MORE important note: You have to pay the ENTIRE bill up front. Ugh.
Must save for this preorder!!!! ^-^
@Stuffgamer1 Don't like it don't buy it. Simple as that. And what the hell did you think you were going to do when preordering? Pay $5?
@Sakura_Moonlight2421: At GameStop, you would (well, $25 for a limited edition). On Amazon, you would pay NOTHING until the item ships. So yes, paying the entire thing IN FULL is unusual and excessive, especially considering it won't release until January.
And if you paid attention to what I said in my comment, I was simply warning people of the inconveniences involved so that they could make an informed decision without going through the pre-order steps on their website. This bundle is, as I said, too cool to pass up. I hope more people can afford to and choose to take advantage of this deal so that what's included improves further (CD soundtrack, I hope). I shared the link on Facebook and got them at least one more preorder by doing so. But I fear that the hoops one must jump through to get in on this deal may prove to be too much for some.
