Cranking through the gears

Gran Turismo fans are amongst the sneakiest in the industry, which means we’re often privy to plenty of leaks. While this isn’t a leak per se, it’s still a brilliant story.

According to a post on the GTPlanet forums, Polyphony Digital was spotted scouting out the Mount Panorama track in Bathurst, Australia over the weekend. One crafty fan even managed to record an interview with a Polyphony Digital employee, in which he confirmed that the team was collecting materials for Sony’s premium racing franchise.

While it’s possible that Polyphony Digital could be working on additional content for Gran Turismo 5, given the length of time it takes the studio to create new tracks we’re suspecting that this is preparation work for the developer’s next project. It begins.
