Thumbs up, friend

Capcom’s jubilant Yoshinori Ono has been rushed to hospital, the Japanese publisher has announced.

The company wrote in an official blog:

Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia, Ono-san’s physical condition rapidly and heavily deteriorated and he had to be taken to the hospital.

Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Ono’s well-being is very important to us, and we wish for his steady recovery.

The exact condition of the Street Fighter honcho is unknown, but Ono has spent the past several months travelling the globe in order to promote his latest game. It sounds like he’s due a long break.

Naturally, everyone at Push Square towers would like to extend their very best wishes to Ono-san in his recovery.
