Few would argue if we said that Red Dead Redemption was one of the best games on the PlayStation 3. No doubt there’d be a couple of contrarians complaining about the game’s shoddy middle-third, but aside from a few fleeting flaws the title is a showpiece for open-world game design.
So it goes without saying that we’re excited to learn that Red Dead Redemption developer, Rockstar San Diego, is staffing up for its next open-world project.
Three new job ads posted on Gamasutra hint at the new project, with personnel required for tools, gameplay and network development.
Given the commercial success of Red Dead Redemption, a sequel seems inevitable. We hope so, at least.

RDR2... yes, please!
I wouldn't mind a sequel to one of the best games I've played this gen!
I just got RDR this week and have been playing it non stop so awesome. I loved the PS2 game Gun and RDR is has everything I loved about that game plus so much more.
I'm playing RDR at the moment, and it's awesome.
Personally, I'd rather have a whole-new game in the vein of GTA, RDR than another sequel. Hopefully that's what this is, since GTA5 is already announced and for story reasons (not gonna spoil) RDR would not likely have a direct sequel.
