Bethesda promises that Skyrim's PS3 woes will be solved in the game's next patch.

We adored Bethesda's sprawling RPG, but couldn't wholly recommend it due to the slew of technical issues that the game experienced at launch. Sure, it's easy to overlook the odd frame-rate stutter or two — but Skyrim brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "technical inconsistencies". Despite the quality of the content within, it's hard to recommend in its current state.

Thankfully, with the seasonal festivities out of the way, Bethesda is finally getting around to fixing the product it shipped. A Twitter post sent out on the company's official account indicated that any PS3 issues will be solved in the game's latest patch — version 1.4. The update is expected later in the month.

Let's just hope that the patch squashes the bugs for good this time. It would nice to get back to enjoying the game, rather than wondering when it's next going to crash.
