Skyrim's great... Until your save file hits a certain size.

PlayStation 3 owners of the publisher's mammoth role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, have voiced concern over the game's performance hindering save file bug.

In a slew posts on Bethesda's forum, players have noted that once the game crosses a certain save file size threshold (around 6MB) its performance is negatively impacted. Lag, according to most players, appears to be the problem. Some claim that the bug renders the game virtually unplayable.

Bethesda has confirmed that it is working on a patch for all three versions of Skyrim, but hasn't commented on this issue specifically.

It said yesterday: "We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and performance issues we can."
