So, who asked for multiplayer in their Dragon Age?

According to a Kotaku report, the publisher is pushing Bioware to release an online arena based battle system as part of its action RPG series.

The site claims that dragons will be playable in the multiplayer component, but is unclear whether the mode will be released as a standalone product or as part of a future Dragon Age sequel. It's apparently being developed using DICE's Frostbite 2 technology, and according to Kotaku's spy already looks stunning.

"The multiplayer is supposedly an arena-based affair and features player versus environment (PvE) elements as well as player versus player (PvP), as well as humans fighting dragons. Details on what PvE battles entail are scant," reports the website.

Judging by the reaction online, Dragon Age fans aren't best pleased.
