DC Universe Online Revenue Up 700% Post Free-To-Play Conversion

After switching DC Universe Online to a free-to-play model, developer Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that revenue is up a whopping 700 percent.

John Smedley confirmed the numbers on Twitter, adding that 53 percent of revenue is coming from the PlayStation 3 game. That's 6 percent more than the PC version. The most popular purchases include additional character slots and costume skins.

The playerbase is said to be growing at a rate of 6 percent per day, and retention is high with more than 85 percent of logins returning players.
